Jordan University of Science and Technology Awards Dr. Mamoun Hamadsha Honorary Doctorate in Pharmacy
Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST) awarded Dr. Mamoun Hamadsha an honorary doctorate in pharmacy, recognizing his outstanding contributions to pharmaceutical sciences and global health. Dr. Hamadsha is an alumnus of JUST's Faculty of Pharmacy.
Dr. Hamadsha gained international recognition for developing "Acoramidis," a drug approved by the U.S. FDA to treat cardiac amyloidosis, improving the lives of thousands of patients worldwide.
JUST President Prof. Khaled El-Salem praised Dr. Hamadsha's achievement, highlighting the university's role in producing graduates who make a global impact in research and development.
Dr. Hamadsha expressed gratitude for the honor, crediting JUST for laying the foundation of his scientific knowledge, which enabled his worldwide accomplishments. He stressed the importance of hard work, collaboration, and investing in education and research.
Dr. Hamadsha, who graduated in pharmacy from JUST in 1999, is now a professor at the University of the Pacific in California.
