Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST) has explored collaborative opportunities with the University Research Co. (URC) to strengthen global health security under the USAID Health Improvement Project. Discussions centered on advancing healthcare systems, implementing programs to enhance health services, and building the capacities of healthcare professionals.

Key discussions highlighted leveraging modern technology to improve the efficiency of healthcare services. The two parties also explored joint initiatives aimed at enhancing medical education and supporting hands-on training programs for health professionals.

Professor Khaled El-Salem, President of JUST, welcomed the URC delegation, emphasizing that this partnership reflects the university's vision of its pioneering role in community service and fostering international collaborations.

El-Salem underscored that the university's advanced infrastructure and exceptional expertise provide a solid foundation for the success of this collaboration. He stated that the partnership aims to strengthen health security by developing resilient healthcare systems capable of addressing future emergencies, building sustainable and equitable frameworks, and delivering high-quality healthcare services that meet societal needs and contribute to the health sector's advancement.

The URC delegation praised JUST's leadership in advancing the healthcare sector locally and regionally. They expressed optimism about the partnership's potential to improve healthcare services and broaden their accessibility.

The visiting delegation, comprising senior officials from URC's headquarters in Washington, was joined by JUST vice presidents and deans of medical faculties.
