Under the patronage of Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST) President Professor Khaled El-Salem, the University launched the graduation ceremonies for its 38th graduating class for the 2026/2027 academic year on Sunday evening. The event was attended by the University's vice presidents, deans, faculty and administrative staff, and a large gathering of graduates' families who joined in celebrating the culmination of years of dedication and hard work.

The graduation celebrations opened with the Faculty of Medicine ceremony, held in an atmosphere that reflected JUST's distinguished academic reputation and celebrated the outstanding achievements of its graduates as they prepare to begin their professional careers.

In his remarks, President El-Salem emphasized that a medical degree is more than an academic qualification—it is an ethical commitment and a humanitarian mission before it is a profession. He noted that a true physician heals not only through scientific knowledge, but also through compassion, honesty, reassurance, and respect for human dignity. He added that today's world needs physicians whose integrity is equal to their expertise and who measure success by the positive impact they have on the lives of their patients and communities.

President El-Salem said that JUST views every achievement as a stepping stone toward even greater excellence through continued investment in people, the advancement of scientific research, the development of medical technologies, and the expansion of international partnerships. These efforts, he explained, are aimed at preparing graduates capable of leading the future and serving their communities. He also highlighted the University's strong regional and international standing, crediting its faculty, staff, and students for its continued success.

He expressed his appreciation to the graduates' families for their steadfast support throughout their academic journey and affirmed that international students will always remain valued members of the JUST community and ambassadors for both the University and Jordan in their home countries. He added that the University's doors will always remain open to them.

President El-Salem also expressed his deepest appreciation to His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein and His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II for their continued support of education and scientific research in Jordan and their commitment to advancing the country's higher education sector. He noted that the University's accomplishments reflect the King's forward-looking vision, which places people at the center of national development.

Dean of Student Affairs Professor Majed Masaadeh described graduation as a proud national and academic milestone that crowns years of perseverance and marks the beginning of a new chapter of achievement and service. He expressed confidence that JUST graduates will continue to excel and make meaningful contributions to their professions, communities, and country.

Speaking on behalf of the graduating class, Batool Al-Kasasbeh expressed sincere gratitude to the University's faculty members for their guidance and mentorship, and to the graduates' families for their unwavering encouragement and support. She described graduation as the beginning of a new journey filled with ambition, opportunity, and achievement.

During the ceremony, Faculty of Medicine graduates recited the Physician's Oath, led by the Dean of the Faculty, Professor Firas Qarqaz, reaffirming their commitment to the ethical principles and humanitarian values of the medical profession and pledging to fulfill their responsibilities with integrity and dedication. Professor Qarqaz said the graduates possess the scientific knowledge, professional competence, and human values needed to make a meaningful impact in healthcare both in Jordan and abroad after years of rigorous education and training at JUST.

The ceremony concluded with President El-Salem presenting degrees to the graduates amid an atmosphere of pride, joy, and enthusiastic applause from family members and guests, marking the culmination of years of perseverance and academic achievement.

The University's 38th graduation ceremonies will continue through July 28, honoring graduates from the remaining faculties according to the following schedule:

Day Two: Faculty of Dentistry and Faculty of Veterinary Medicine

Day Three: Faculty of Engineering and Faculty of Architecture and Design

Day Four: Faculty of Computer and Information Technology

Day Five: Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences

Day Six: Graduate Studies, Faculty of Pharmacy, and the Health Management and Policy program

Day Seven: Faculty of Agriculture and the Faculty of Science and Arts

Day Eight: Faculty of Nursing
