JUST Signs Memorandum of Understanding with Savvy Pharma Pharmaceutical Industry
Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Savvy Pharma Pharmaceutical Industry, to strengthen collaboration in student training, scientific research, capacity building, and the development of specialized academic programs that support the pharmaceutical industry in Jordan and the region.
The agreement was signed by Prof. Basheer Khasawneh, Vice President of JUST, and Dr. Ahmad Al-Ghazawi, General Manager of Savvy Pharma, in the presence of Dr. Tareq Aldaher, MENA Commercial Director, Prof. Qosay Al-Balas, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Dr. Osama Alshogran, Vice Dean for Experiential Training, and Dr. Sofian Meqdadi, Faculty Council member.
The MoU provides training opportunities for students enrolled in the Pharmaceutical and Biological Manufacturing program, which emphasizes dual studies and internship training, enabling students to integrate academic learning with practical experience. It also includes joint workshops, training courses, scientific conferences, and collaboration in research and technical expertise in pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical manufacturing.
Prof. Khasawneh highlighted that the partnership reflects the university's commitment to aligning academic programs with labor market needs and strengthening Jordan's pharmaceutical sector. Dr. Al-Ghazawi emphasized Savvy Pharma's commitment to supporting students and researchers while fostering innovation and developing globally competitive graduates.
