Academic Collaboration between Jordan University of Science and Technology and Royal Automobile Club of Jordan in Road Safety and Urban Planning
The Faculty of Architecture and Design at Jordan University of Science and Technology participated in the International Road Assessment Program iRAP (International Road Assessment Program), in collaboration with the Royal Automobile Club of Jordan, and in accordance with the standards of the World Health Organization. This initiative comes as part of the faculty's efforts to enhance applied education and align its outcomes with international standards.
The program aims to develop students' skills in road safety and urban planning through international specialized training in assessing road infrastructure and improving traffic safety levels.
The course concluded with participating students receiving internationally accredited certificates, which will be included in their academic records, enhancing their professional readiness. This followed their successful completion of an international exam in these skills, qualifying them as certified international assessors. The Faculty of Architecture also seeks to integrate this course into the assessment of selected practical courses, with future training sessions planned to be held on campus, continuing the collaboration with the Royal Automobile Club of Jordan.
This program is part of a series of training activities implemented by the faculty in partnership with local and international entities, aiming to empower students and align their skills with labor market needs. It also aligns with the growing trend of offering micro-credentials within Jordanian universities.
