A Special Session at the Center of Excellence for Innovative Projects on the World of Drones
In line with the Center of Excellence for Innovative Projects' vision of supporting innovation and empowering young talent, and in fulfillment of its mission to transfer applied knowledge and enhance future-ready skills, the Center organized a specialized introductory session on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, in collaboration with JUST ENGINES. Titled “The World of Drones: From Hobby ...to the Future of Driving), targeting university students from the College of Engineering. The session was presented by Osama Hajjawi, a business development engineer at SAGER, who holds internationally accredited certifications: Certified Energy Manager (CEM), Certified Energy Auditor (CEA), and Certified Measurement and Verification Professional (CMVP). During the session, he provided a comprehensive overview of the world of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), highlighting their rapidly expanding applications in engineering, logistics, and a number of vital sectors. He also addressed the basic technical components of these aircraft and their efficient operating mechanisms, while presenting a vision for the future regarding the role of artificial intelligence and autonomous flight technologies in reshaping numerous industries.
This session is part of the Center's ongoing efforts to provide a stimulating educational environment that bridges theoretical knowledge with practical application, contributing to the development of a generation capable of keeping pace with technological transformations and leading the future with confidence and efficiency. It also reflects the Center's commitment to strengthening partnerships with the private sector by hosting industry experts, thereby opening broader horizons for students to learn about the latest practices and trends in technical and engineering fields.
