The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Jordan University of Science and Technology launched the “Stray Dog Control Project on Campus" and hosted the “Veterinary Tent" event today, Wednesday, April 16, 2025.

The project reflects the university's commitment to public safety, animal welfare, and sustainable, socially responsible solutions. The Veterinary Tent aimed to raise awareness of veterinary health among students.

Dr. Khasawneh highlighted JUST's dual role as an academic leader and community partner. He noted that the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and its teaching hospital offer scientific and practical solutions to the issue of stray dogs in line with international standards.

Professor Dr. Myassar Alekish, Dean of the Faculty, explained that the project combines practical education, community service, and campus safety. She emphasized the need to manage the stray dog situation through veterinary expertise, balancing public safety with animal rights.

The event featured a tent with awareness activities focused on humane animal treatment. Several veterinary clinics and companies participated. They displayed their products, introduced their services, and provided students with free samples.
