Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST) has topped local universities with 43 researchers in the Stanford-Elsevier list of the top 2% researchers globally for 2024. An additional 25 scholars were recognized for their cumulative career achievements.

President Professor Khaled Alsalem highlighted the high-quality research output and global collaboration driving this success. Dean of research professor Tareq Mukattash credited continuous support and strategic planning aligned with national priorities and sustainable development goals.

The Stanford-Elsevier list, using the Scopus database, evaluates global researchers across 22 fields and 176 sub-disciplines based on publication, citations, H-index, and more.
