University of Science and Technology Launches an Innovative Competition in Drone Technology
Jordan University of Science and Technology launched a drone competition, the first of its kind at the university level. The competition was organized by the Center of Excellence for Innovative Projects and the Institute of Nanotechnology under the supervision of Dr. Ahmad Bani Younes.
The competition, which attracted nine student teams from various disciplines, witnessed lively competition among participants who showcased their skills in designing, programming, and operating drones for various purposes. This initiative aimed to promote creativity and technical innovation, in addition to teamwork and constructive competition.
During her patronage of the opening ceremony, Vice President of the University, Professor Mona Abu Dalo, expressed the university's pride in this initiative, which provided students with an exceptional opportunity to apply their academic knowledge in real-world situations. She emphasized the importance of the event in supporting student talent and guiding them toward innovation.
At the end of the event, the winning teams were honored. First place went to the Drone Wolves team, which included students Osama Al-Tawrah and Ayham Abdallat. Second place went to the Mecha_Enjoyers team, which included students Fares Rawashdeh, Ammar Mustafa, and Abdul Karim Gharaibeh. Third place went to the Mech TEAM team, which included students Yazan Ayoub and Yazan Al-Junaidi.
