The Nanotechnology Student Club under the supervision of the Deanship of Student Affairs and in cooperation with the Institute of Nanotechnology has the honor to invite you to attend a lecture entitled
"Novel Mixed Matrix Nano-Composite Membrane for Desalination By Membrane Distillation "
It will be delivered by Dr. Mohammad Rasoul Qutaishat, on Thursday 24/10/2019 at 1:00 pm at Al-Farabi amphitheater.
Dr. Mohammad Qutaishat in brief:
- Associate Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of Jordan.
- He registered patents for desalinating water using nano-membranes without the need for high pressure and temperature. This leads to saving energy consumption and the financial cost required for desalinating water. Dr. Quteishat's inventions turned into a commercial company that transformed into a commercial product that will be marketed soon.
- He was awarded his Ph.D. from the Canadian University of Ottawa in 2009 in the design of membrane desalination membranes via direct contact, and his thesis won first place in the technology competition for innovative research at the level of Canada.
- He obtained a master's and bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from the Jordan University of Science and Technology.
