Launch of DSS branch within the Computing Technology Club at Jordan University of Science and Technology
With the support of the Deanship of Student Affairs and in collaboration with the College of Computer and Information Technology, the Computing Technology Club (CTC) announced the launch of the Decision Support Systems (DSS) branch during a special event attended by many students and faculty members. The DSS branch consists of a select group of data science students.
During the event, the dean of the college emphasized the importance of this launch, noting its role in enhancing students' data analysis and decision-making skills and linking theory with modern practical applications.
Dr. Alaa Al-Huweidi also spoke, praising the students' efforts and the CTC club's activities. He noted that establishing a DSS branch within a data science program will open new horizons for applied and research projects, enhancing students' abilities to deal with advanced analysis and modeling techniques.
The ceremony included a presentation of the branch's operational plan, which includes applied workshops, specialized training courses, and practical activities aimed at improving students' efficiency in model building and data-driven decision-making.
At the end of the event, the club thanked the attendees, saying:
"Thank you very much to everyone who attended and shared this exciting launch with us! Stay tuned for upcoming announcements. Our journey has just begun!"
This launch aligns with the university's commitment to supporting modern digital disciplines and equipping students with the skills needed in today's job market.
