Cybersecurity department organises introductory seminar on Capture The Flag (CTF) competitions
Within the framework of enhancing technical knowledge and encouraging innovation among students, the Cybersecurity Department organised an introductory seminar entitled: ‘Introduction to Capture The Flag (CTF)’, presented by the students of the Student Committee for Competitions and Student Activities in the Cybersecurity Department (Karam Al-Omari, Ahmad Jumaa, Anis Al-Eid, Hala Abu Libdeh and Sara Al-Omari) on Tuesday at 12:40 pm in the M2008 Hall in the Engineering Buildings.
Themes of the seminar:
- Recognising CTF competitions and their importance in developing technical skills.
- Review the types of challenges included in these competitions and how to participate in them.
- Highlighting the basic skills that students need to excel in this field.
The seminar was well attended by students from cybersecurity and technical fields, and the attendees enjoyed a rich and enriching learning experience. The importance of CTF competitions as a practical way to enhance students' capabilities in areas such as cryptography, software analysis, and vulnerability detection was emphasised.
The Head of the Department praised the great interaction of the students, stressing the department's keenness to provide more events that enhance students' academic and practical experiences.
