​A team of students from the College of Computer and Information Technology at the Jordan University of Science and Technology won first place in the “Business and Society Technology” category at the 13th National Technology Festival (NTP 13), hosted by Amman Private University on Saturday, July 4, 2026, under the theme “Smart Solutions for a Better Future,” with broad participation from Jordanian universities, academic institutions, and entrepreneurial organizations.

The winning team consisted of students Fares Majid Masa’adeh, Zaid Kilani, Zaid Thaer Al-Samadi, and Ranim Osama Hammad, under the supervision of Dr. Malak Abdullah. Their outstanding graduation project, GOJobs, won first place and a cash prize of 300 dinars, after receiving praise from the judging panel for its innovative concept and clear social impact, as well as the quality of its design and execution.

The GOJobs project addresses one of the most significant challenges facing the job market: the difficulty technical and skilled workers face in accessing suitable job opportunities, as well as the challenges employers and companies face in finding the talent they need. The project provides a smart platform that brings together job seekers and employers within a unified, user-friendly environment, thereby streamlining the hiring process and improving access to suitable opportunities.

The project leveraged artificial intelligence technologies to provide a smart matching process between job seekers and employers by analyzing skills, experience, and job requirements, and suggesting the best employment opportunities and the most suitable candidates for each position, thereby helping to improve the quality of hiring and reduce the time and effort expended by both parties. The project also provides innovative solutions that support training and professional development, thereby enhancing job seekers’ readiness and addressing the evolving needs of the labor market.

The judging panel commended the project for its practical approach to addressing a real-world problem, its effective use of artificial intelligence technologies to serve the community, and its potential for further development into a platform capable of serving a wide range of users both within and outside Jordan.

The festival also featured outstanding participation from a number of the university’s student graduation projects across various categories, which reflected the academic and creative caliber of Jordan University of Science and Technology students and their ability to develop innovative technical solutions that address real-world challenges in multiple fields, thereby reaffirming the university’s leading role in supporting innovation and applied research.

For his part, the Dean of the College of Computer and Information Technology, Prof. Dr. Munir Bani Yassin, congratulated the winning students and the project supervisor, Dr. Malak Abdullah, expressing his pride in this achievement, which adds to the series of accomplishments by the college and its students in local and national forums, and emphasizing that this victory reflects the students’ outstanding academic level and embodies the college’s commitment to linking graduation projects to the needs of society and the job market.

The Dean of Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Majid Musa’ad, also praised this outstanding achievement, emphasizing that the university students’ excellence in national competitions reflects the supportive environment for creativity and innovation within the university, as well as its commitment to empowering students to transform their ideas into entrepreneurial projects with sustainable economic and social impact, thereby enhancing their readiness to compete and excel at the local and regional levels.
