Jordan University of Science and Technology Students Achieve Remarkable Results in PCPC 2026 Programming Competition

​On Thursday, February 12, 2026, students from Jordan University of Science and Technology participated in the PCPC 2026 programming competition, which was organized by Princess Sumaya University for Technology. The competition aimed to bring together student programmers from various Jordanian universities to prepare for programming competitions, as well as to enhance their problem-solving and teamwork skills in a stimulating, competitive environment.

The university's students won first and third place, along with cash prizes for both. The BDNAASH NFOOZ team won first place. It consisted of students Omar Ali, Ibrahim Al-Rabee, and Yassin Hussein. The BDNAA NFOOZ team won third place. It consisted of students: Mohammed Al-Qaryouti, Ayham Al-Salman, and Sharaf Makahla.

Out of 61 teams from various Jordanian universities, Jordan University of Science and Technology participated with 12 teams, clearly demonstrating the strong presence and excellence of its students in the field of competitive programming. Notably, four of the participating teams were composed of first-year students who began training on the programming competition system in the first semester.

Prof. Munir Bani Yassin, dean of the Faculty of Computer and Information Technology, affirmed the faculty's and university's commitment to supporting students and enabling them to actively participate in such competitions. He noted that the university provides all the necessary resources to prepare students for the competitions and meet their training requirements, thereby enhancing their readiness to succeed.

The dean congratulated the winning students and Dr. Malak Abdullah, who supervised the students' programming training. He praised the efforts made in supervision and training, which played a major role in their success.

In conclusion, this achievement reflects the advanced level of students at Jordan University of Science and Technology. It also confirms the university's commitment to fostering a culture of excellence and innovation, as well as preparing students to compete and lead in technology and programming fields at the local and regional levels.
