Under the auspices of the College of Computer and Information Technology (CIT), the Department of Cybersecurity at the Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST) held the JUST CTF Cybersecurity Competition. The event was organised by the HackerSpace_JUST team, with the active participation of the Student Competitions and Innovations Committee and the Media Committee at the Department of Cybersecurity, in coordination with the department's representative, and was held at the Centre of Excellence for Innovative Projects.
The competition witnessed the participation of 24 teams of students, who competed vigorously to achieve the top positions. NiGhtMaRe won the first place, while FL4M3 won the second place, and R-K0shk4 came in third place.
The competition aims to develop students' skills in the field of cybersecurity, enhance their spirit of innovation and challenge, which contributes to developing their practical expertise in this vital field.
The Dean of the College, Prof. Mounir Bani Yassin, added that this event comes within the college's efforts to promote innovation and academic and practical excellence among students, stressing the college's keenness to provide a stimulating learning environment that contributes to preparing distinguished cadres capable of facing future technical challenges.
The Vice Dean of the College of Computer and Information Technology, Dr. Malik Qasaymeh, and the Head of the Cybersecurity Department, Dr. Qasim Abu Al-Haija, expressed their happiness with the success of this event, pointing out that such competitions contribute to discovering talents and supporting outstanding student competencies at the university.
