Awareness lecture on the occasion of Cybersecurity Awareness Month at Jordan University of Science and Technology
On Tuesday, November 5, 2024, the Department of Cybersecurity at the Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST) held a special awareness lecture on the occasion of Cybersecurity Awareness Month, sponsored by the College of Computer and Information Technology, in cooperation with a group of engineers and experts from the National Cybersecurity Center. The event was well attended by faculty members and a large number of the college's students.
Dr. Qassim Abu Al-Haija, Head of the Department of Cybersecurity, started the meeting with a welcoming speech in which he expressed his thanks and appreciation to the NCSC delegation for responding to the invitation and participating in this important event, and thanked the Dean of the College of Computer and Information Technology, Prof. Mounir Bani Yassin, for his continuous support for the activities of the college and the department.
The event included three awareness lectures presented by a group of experts:
- Engineer Alaa Kasasbeh: He talked about the latest cyber threats and how to deal with them.
- Engineer Hisham Abu Bakr: He focused on the importance of security awareness in protecting personal information.
- Engineer Abdulaziz Arshidat: He reviewed modern cyber protection techniques and methods.
In addition to the lectures, the event included a number of interactive activities and fruitful discussions that enriched the attendees and provided them with valuable information on how to deal with cyber challenges in daily and professional life.
