On Sunday, 8/11/2024, the LWC Club held its first and inaugural workshop for the club, entitled Opening Workshop, which was supervised by the Head of the Computer Engineering Department, Dr. Hossam Al-Qablan.
The workshop covered several topics, the first of which was a speech by the club's founder, student Moamen Al-Omari, in which he addressed the goals and vision of the club. He also presented details from the club’s Roadmap and how the training courses will be given to the students. He also talked about the start date for providing these courses, which will be At the beginning of the first semester of the 2024-2025 academic year.
It was followed by a segment with engineer Iyad Al-Azzam, which was entitled Introduction to Web Development, during which he talked about the field of the Web in general and the basics of learning it. He also touched on his fields of work and the method of working with it.
It was followed by a segment for Pioneers Group, where the company was represented by A. Ayman Al-Lahham, who talked about university life, the labor market, and how students can prepare themselves to enter the labor market. He gave distinctive advice to students to acquire skills that will enable them to enter the labor market.
The end of the workshop was with the club supervisor, Dr. Hossam Al-Qabalan, during which he talked about the idea of the club, its purpose, and its importance to the students. Dr. Hossam Al-Qabalan also thanked the team members, the workshop speakers, and all those in charge of this workshop.
After the inaugural workshop, the LWC Club presented several awards:
- The first prize: for the winner of the inaugural workshop competition, which went to the student (Saad Ghazal), with a value of 100 dinars, provided by Shai Company.
- Second Prize: The student (Sarah Al-Badr) received a training course provided by Pioneers Company.
