​Students from the Department of Chemical Engineering, Lana Al-Balkhi and Maryam Dawood, won first place in the field of environmental sustainability in the Al Hussein Award for Graduation Projects in Jordanian Universities. They received the award for their applied research project entitled “Recovery of Valuable Metals from Spent Lithium Batteries,” organized by the Al Hussein Fund for Excellence, under the supervision of Dr. Mohammad Harahsheh.
