Activating the qualitative role of the college in serving the local community in spreading the culture of the rule of law

A workshop in Jerash on the project of the rule of law and its role in social peace

The College of Arts and Sciences adopts a set of policies aimed at activating its role in community service through the community services it provides. The focus was on the community participation policy adopted by the College to spread awareness of the concept of the rule of law and the need to spread the culture of the rule of law, and everything related to the rule of law in order to develop a local community; To be a safe society away from corruption, nepotism, and violating laws and regulations.
In order to activate this role, the Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Dr. Khaled Al-Shawaqfeh, and his deputy, Dr. Rami Al-Khatib, trained the participants in a training workshop held by the Arab World Center for Democratic Development and Human Rights in partnership with the "Street Law" Foundation and in cooperation with the Jerash Health Directorate, as part of the Rule of Law for Peace project. societal.
During the workshop, the concepts and factors of the rule of law and the main governmental responsibilities were discussed, according to the legislative, executive and judicial roles of a number of Jerash health officials.
Prof. Dr. Khaled Shawaqfeh and Dr. Rami Al-Khatib presented a set of modern interactive themes and skills related to the training techniques adopted within the project, and exchanged information about the difference between justice and equality.
The workshop also discussed the difference between transparent and open government, the concept of informal justice and many concepts related to the rule of law. It also clarified the role that citizens and civil society organizations contribute to the law-making process, influencing decision-making and seeking change for the better.
