Activating the qualitative role of the college in serving the local community in spreading the culture of the rule of law

​The College of Sciences and Arts adopts a set of policies aimed at activating its role in community service through the community services it provides. The focus was on the policy of community participation adopted by the college to spread awareness of the concept of the rule of law and the need to spread the culture of the rule of law, and everything related to the rule of law for the development of a local community; To be a safe society away from corruption, nepotism, and violating laws and regulations.


To activate this role, the Dean of the College, Prof. Khaled Al-Shawaqfeh, and his deputy, Dr. Rami Al-Khatib, trained the participants in a training workshop organized by the Arab World Center for Democratic Development and Human Rights in partnership. With the Street Law Foundation and in cooperation with the Ajloun Agriculture Directorate and within the Rule of Law for Community Peace project. Specialized training for the rule of law and its role in community peace. The concepts and factors of the rule of law and the main government responsibilities were discussed according to the legislative, executive and judicial roles of a number of male and female employees of the Ajloun Agriculture Directorate in the northern region.​



Prof. Dr. Khaled Shawaqfeh and Dr. Rami Al-Khatib presented a set of modern interactive axes and skills related to the training techniques adopted within the project. In their in-depth dialogues, the participants and trainers exchanged positions from their experiences on the differences between justice and equality, clarifying the difference between transparent and open government, the concept of informal justice and many more. From the concepts related to the rule of law, and the role that citizens and civil society organizations contribute to the law-making process, influencing decision-making and striving for change for the better, was also clarified.
