An awareness lecture on "Technology" on "Nagoya Protocol" in cooperation with the Ministry of Environment
"The GEF/UNDP project "Strengthening human resources, legal frameworks, and institutional capacities to implement the Nagoya Protocol" in collaboration with the Ministry of Environment conducted an awareness session at the University of Science and Technology in Irbid. The session are designed to raise awareness on the Nagoya protocol on access and benefit sharing of genetic resources and its traditional knowledge. The project seeks to produce a legal framework and raise capacities to implement the protocol in twenty-four countries (Albania, Belarus, Colombia, Comoros, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Egypt, Ethiopia, Honduras, India, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Mongolia, Myanmar, Panama, Rwanda, Samoa, Seychelles, South Africa, Sudan, Tajikistan, Uruguay) Funded by GEF with a total budget of 12 million dollars."
