The Environmental Protection Directorate of Irbid Governorate, through the Environmental Awareness and Media Section, in collaboration with the Department of Basic Sciences and Humanities at the Faculty of Science and Arts at Jordan University of Science and Technology, organized an environmental day on Sunday, December 22, 2024, in the Ramtha District. The event saw wide participation from students of the Department of Basic Sciences and Humanities, the Municipality of New Ramtha (Environmental Department), Community Police, the Royal Environmental Protection Department, and the Rawabi Horan Association for Environment and Sustainable Development.

The environmental day included a large-scale cleanup campaign outside the campus of Jordan University of Science and Technology, extending to the area surrounding the King Abdullah University Hospital. Additionally, environmental awareness brochures were distributed with the message "No to littering."
