The Department of Basic Sciences and Humanities at Jordan University of Science and Technology, in collaboration with the Media and Community Police Department in Ramtha, organized a lecture for students in the Leadership and Social Responsibility course. Major Musleh Al-Qudah, Head of the Ramtha Anti-Narcotics Department, discussed the Anti-Narcotics Administration's role in combating drug addiction, including prevention, treatment, and its physical, psychological, and social effects.

This event supports the National Strategy to promote drug rejection among students and the wider community while raising awareness about addiction treatment services. Professor Khaled Shawakfeh, Dean of the Faculty of Science and Arts, emphasized the need for collective efforts to combat drug abuse and promote a safe, drug-free society.

The event concluded with a theatrical performance by the Police Theater Team, which depicted the devastating consequences of drug addiction, including family breakdown, lost potential, and personal suffering. The event was attended by Professor Eftikhar Mohidean, faculty members, students, and community police officers.
