An initiative to distribute charity parcels during the holy month of Ramadan at the Jordan University of Science and Technology
Under the direction and sponsorship of Prof. Khaled Shawaqfeh, Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, and within the community initiatives of the Leadership and Social Responsibility course at the Jordan University of Science and Technology in serving the local community, the Department of Basic Humanities and Scientific Sciences organized a volunteer initiative of distributing charity parcels to a number of needy families on Tuesday, 19/3/2024. It contains various food supplies with high quality on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan.
This initiative aims to provide food support to needy families during the holy month, in response to the economic and social challenges they face
The process of preparing the food parcels was supervised by Prof. Mutawakel Obaidat, Head of the Department of Basic Humanities and Scientific Sciences and Coordinator of the Volunteer Work Program, in addition to a number of professors of the Leadership and Social Responsibility course in the department.

A number of leadership and social responsibility course students participated in preparing the charitable packages and distributing them to beneficiaries from inside and outside the university in cooperation with some relevant university departments, in addition to some charitable centers and activists in the field of charitable and humanitarian work in the governorate.
Volunteer work is requirements of the Leadership and Social Responsibility course, which embodies teamwork and emphasizes the love of giving, good citizenship, and commitment to both social and humanitarian responsibility.
