The Faculty of Pharmacy at Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST) received renewal of the international accreditation certificate from the American Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) for four more years for both the Bachelor of Pharmacy and Doctor of Pharmacy programs. This was received as an oficeial e-mail from the ACPE committee on Sunday 08/23/2020.

The President of JUST, Prof. Dr. Sa'eb Khresat, said that the renewal of this accreditation will provide an additional incentive to maintain excellence in education and positively affect job opportunities for graduates, and that the university is committed to continuing its efforts to reach global excellence in academic education and scientific research, by supporting innovation and providing students with unique educational and research opportunities.

Prof. Khresat indicated that the renewal of accreditation will reflect positively on the world ranking and the global reputation of JUST and will increase the attraction of Arab and foreign students and international competencies, this in line with the university's vision of achieving a global reputation.

The Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Prof. Dr. Sayer Al-Azzam, stated that the ACPE is the highest accreditation body in the United States of America, indicating that this achievement is the fruit of the teamwork of the faculty and administrative staff as well as students, to enhance the role of the pharmacy profession in the medical sector. This is evident by proficiency and distinction in community service and excellence in teaching for the profession of pharmacy and seeking for its advancement.

It is noteworthy that the Jordan University of Science and Technology was ranked 13 among Arab universities according to the QS Global Ranking System for the year 2020 and received a five-star rating from QS as well, and was it is rated as one of the best 351-400 universities worldwide according to the Times Higher Education (THE).
