On the 24th of October 2023, the Faculty of Medicine welcomed a delegation from the Accreditation and Quality Assurance Commission for Higher Education. The delegation was led by Professor Dr. Imad Aburajouh and included Dr. Inas Zayadneh and Ms. Soum Abutalib. Their purpose was to assess the Faculty of Medicine's improvement plan at the University of Science and Technology. During their visit, the delegation evaluated the faculty's accomplishments in line with the accreditation standards set by the World Federation for Medical Education (WFME) for its educational program.

The meeting commenced with a welcome from Dean, Professor Dr. Bashir Khasawneh, who emphasized the importance of this visit and the faculty's commitment to obtaining international accreditation.. He explained the efforts made in this regard, with deputy deans and assistants also in attendance. Following this, Dr. Ashraf Aweis, the Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and the head of the Accreditation, Quality Assurance, and Risk Management Committee, gave an overview of the key achievements related to obtaining international accreditation (WFME), This served to highlight the faculty's efforts in this area.

In the end, the Dean expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the delegation for their visit, acknowledging the efforts being made to improve and enhance the quality of higher education. In return, the delegation expressed their great admiration for the faculty's achievements and conveyed their appreciation for the hard work.​
