The activities of the scientific day, which was organized by the College of Graduate Studies has been inaugurated at Jordan University of Science and Technology on Wednesday June 1st.

The President of the University, Professor Khalid El-Salem, during his patronage of the opening ceremony, evaluated the great efforts made by the Faculty of Graduate Studies to encourage scientific research for graduate students, stressing that that results of such research contribute to the development of science and knowledge, which is positively reflected on the academic and industrial sectors.

El-Salem pointed out that the university contributes significantly in supporting research to achieve its national mission and raise its level on the international arena in the world rankings, which is positively reflected on supporting the national economy

The Dean of the College of Graduate Studies, Prof. Mahmoud Alrefaei stressed the role of the Faculty of Graduate Studies in supporting scientific research and developing graduate programs to produce distinguished graduates who are able to engage in society and lead it towards advancement and prosperity, carrying the knowledge, skills and tools of scientific research in a competitive environment among students in line with the royal vision.
The activities of the scientific day included a competition to submit master’s theses at the university level in 5 minutes with the aim of encouraging graduate students to present an interactive presentation about their research proposals and results and highlight their importance in less than 5 minutes. It also includes a poster session from Various faculties at the university. In the last session, Prof. Ahmad Alajlouni has handed the prizes to the winners in the first, second and third places.
