​A committee was formed to develop the optometry programs and curricula in Arab universities by the Arab Union for Visual Professions in Amman-Jordan headed by Dr. Nisreen Al-Ashqar (President of the Arab Union for Visual Professions) and the membership of Dr. Areej Al-Otoom from Jordan University of Science and Technology / College of Applied Medical Sciences and a number of experts in Domain from several Arab countries.
