As part of the College of Veterinary Medicine's efforts to promote scientific knowledge and keep pace with modern developments in animal disease diagnosis, the college organized its scientific day under the title:
"Modern Diagnostic Techniques in Veterinary Medicine and Animal Health"
This took place on Monday, November 17, 2025, in the Al-Farabi Auditorium, with the participation of a select group of experts and specialists from within and outside Jordan, and the attendance of many veterinarians. The scientific day's activities began with a welcoming speech by Professor Dr. Maysar Al-Akash, Dean of the College She welcomed the guests and highlighted the importance
of showcasing the latest technologies used in veterinary diagnostics and their role in improving veterinary services and scientific research.
Professor Dr. Ahmed Al-Majali, representative of the World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH) for the Middle East region, also delivered a speech emphasizing the importance of regional cooperation in developing diagnostic and epidemiological surveillance systems.
In a private sector contribution, Dr. Samah Al-Jabour, a veterinarian from the Jordanian Biological Company for Import and Export, delivered a speech in which she addressed the role of supporting companies in promoting modern laboratory technologies.
Faculty members Professor Dr. Muhammad Ababneh, Professor Dr. Saad Gharaibeh, and Dr. Ibrahim Al-Zuhair presented lectures reviewing the latest technologies in diagnosing reproductive problems in animals and their impact on improving production, advanced methods in detecting and diagnosing poultry diseases, and the role of early diagnosis in reducing production losses.

The latest laboratory applications in diagnosing diseases in food animals were also discussed.
Meanwhile, faculty guests, including Ms. Danuta Radzio and Dr. Alexey Kolbasenko, delivered lectures reviewing the latest laboratory tests and molecular techniques used globally, highlighting the importance of modern diagnostic technology and its role in improving farm management efficiency.
The scientific day concluded with the college affirming its commitment to continuing to adopt and highlight the latest scientific technologies, and to enhance cooperation with national and international institutions, in order to contribute to the advancement of the livestock and veterinary medicine sector.
