The 1st Clinical Student Conference of the College of Veterinary Medicine for the year 2025
The College of Veterinary Medicine organized the first clinical student conference for the College of Veterinary Medicine for the year 2025 on Wednesday, May 7, 2025. This conference embodies the College's vision of linking academic knowledge with practical application. This scientific meeting brought together an elite group of the College's students and faculty members in an academic environment that encourages creativity and excellence.
The conference was opened by Professor Bashir Khasawneh, Vice President of the University, who explained that the importance of such conferences stems from their efforts to develop students' scientific and research capabilities. He praised the efforts of the college and the organizing committees, and called for continued support for such initiatives to build an informed and qualified generation.
Professor Dr. Maysar Al-Akash, Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine, explained that this conference provides a platform for presenting student projects, exchanging ideas and experiences, and opening new horizons for constructive scientific dialogue, based on the College's belief that investing in the energies of young people is the best way to build the future of veterinary medicine.
Professor Samih Abu Tarboush, Director General of the Veterinary Hospital and Rehabilitation Center affiliated with the Jordanian National Center for Police Dogs, reviewed various complex medical cases that were diagnosed and treated with great professionalism, reflecting the competence of the staff and the advanced level of clinical training at the college. He added that the hospital constitutes a fundamental pillar in the practical training of the college's students.
The program included a series of scientific sessions and workshops that addressed recent topics in veterinary diagnosis and treatment, in addition to presentations of creative student projects that discussed the challenges of the profession and opportunities for developing clinical performance using the latest technological means.
