Jordan University of Science and Technology announces the need of the College of Veterinary Medicine to appoint a faculty member with the rank of Assistant Professor and to contract with full-time lecturers to work in the college departments as shown below:
First: Department of Basic Veterinary Medical Sciences
Appointment of a faculty member with the rank of Assistant Professor specializing in Molecular Microbiology, according to the following conditions:
The applicant must be of Jordanian nationality.
The applicant must have a Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Medicine or its equivalent with a grade of no less than good from a recognized university.
The applicant must have a PhD in Molecular Microbiology from a recognized university.
The applicant must have at least two years of university teaching experience for courses within the specialization of Molecular Microbiology at a recognized university.
The applicant must have published at least two research papers in international peer-reviewed scientific journals within the specialization of Molecular Microbiology.
He must have obtained a license to practice the profession from the relevant authority in Jordan.
The applicant must not be committed to working for any other entity.
Second: Department of Clinical Veterinary Medical Sciences:
Contracting with a full-time lecturer according to the following conditions:
The applicant must be of Jordanian nationality.
The applicant must have a bachelor's degree in veterinary medicine or its equivalent with a grade of no less than very good from a recognized university.
The applicant must have a master's degree in clinical veterinary medicine with a grade of no less than very good from a recognized university.
The applicant must have a license to practice the profession from the relevant authority in Jordan.
The applicant must not be retired.
The applicant must not be committed to working for any entity.
Contracting with a full-time lecturer according to the following conditions:
The applicant must be of Jordanian nationality.
The applicant must have a bachelor's degree in veterinary medicine or its equivalent with a grade of no less than very good from a recognized university.
The applicant must have a master's degree in one of the following specializations (internal medicine, veterinary surgery, veterinary reproductive medicine) with a grade of no less than very good from a recognized university.
The applicant must have experience in the field of small animals for at least one year.
To have a license to practice the profession from the relevant authority in Jordan.
The applicant must not be retired.
The applicant must not be committed to working for any entity.
Third: Department of Pathology and Public Health:
Contracting with a full-time lecturer according to the following conditions:
The applicant must be of Jordanian nationality.
The applicant must have a bachelor's degree in veterinary medicine or its equivalent with a grade of no less than very good from a recognized university.
The applicant must have a master's degree in food hygiene with a grade of no less than very good from a recognized university.
The applicant must have at least one year of experience in university teaching in food hygiene and laboratories.
The applicant must have a permit to practice the profession from the relevant authority in Jordan.
The applicant must not be retired.
The applicant must not be committed to working for any party.
Note that the appointment procedures will not be carried out for those selected (in any of the vacancies) unless the university is provided with a license to practice academic work issued by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
Required supporting documents:
A certified copy of all academic qualifications and transcripts of grades, including the high school transcript.
A certified copy of the equivalency of certificates from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research for holders of academic certificates issued by non-Jordanian higher education institutions. (To be submitted when applying for appointment).
A certified copy of the license to practice academic work issued by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. (To be submitted when applying for appointment)
A certified copy of the valid membership of the union and practicing the profession.
A certified certificate from the Ministry of Finance proving that you are receiving/not receiving any civil/military salaries.
A certified certificate and a detailed data statement from the Social Security Corporation showing the periods during which you are covered by the provisions of the Social Security Law.
A certified copy of the personal ID card or passport.
A copy of the certificate of completion of military service or exemption or postponement (for males).
A recent, colored personal photo.
