​As part of its ongoing efforts to achieve the goals of the Blue Peace Middle East Capacity Building Project supported by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation, a delegation from the Water Diplomacy Center (WDC) at the Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST) headed by Professor Prof. Majid Abu Zreig, accompanied by Prof. Mutawakel Obeidat and Prof. Waseem Barham, visited Al Nahrain Center for Strategic Studies in Baghdad. The delegation met with the head of the Energy, Water and Environment Department at the center, Mr. Jawad Al-Khakani, Dr. Mohammed Jaber, and Dr. Dawood Jaber. During this meeting, the two delegations discussed ways of cooperation between the two centers, with a focus on education and knowledge exchange, and the possibility of networking knowledge related to specialized studies and scientific research on water issues in the region. The two delegations also expressed their desire to conclude a cooperation agreement between the two centers to enhance cooperation in the field of water, develop partnerships for future studies on water issues in the region, and participate in the workshops and courses offered by the center.

This visit is an important step towards strengthening cooperation between the two centers, contributing to the exchange of practical experiences and enriching the cognitive activities between the two centers, in addition to supporting the efforts aimed at achieving water security for all.
