On Tuesday, July 18, 2023, Dr. Majed Abu Zreig, the director of the Water Diplomacy Center at the University of Science and Technology, hosted a delegation from the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), represented by Mr. Mufleh Al Alaween, the Water Cooperation Advisor, and Mr. Hisham Al Quraan, the Financial Director of the Swiss Agency projects. The purpose of their visit was to organize a specialized training workshop on the financial management of the project supported by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation. The workshop was attended by the center's working team, and a comprehensive presentation of the project's budget was given, detailing various financial aspects and explaining how to effectively prepare and manage the budget. During the workshop, the importance of complying with the financial agreement's provisions and ensuring transparent and efficient use of funds was highlighted. The working team members were allowed to ask questions and discuss any inquiries related to the budget and financial management. The Swiss delegation expressed their full cooperation and readiness to provide assistance and answer the questions raised by the working team, contributing to enhancing mutual understanding and collaboration regarding project management and financial matters. This training workshop is a valuable opportunity for the working team to benefit from the Swiss Agency's expertise in project and budget management.
