​Center for E-Learning and Open Educational Resources at Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST) concluded a specialized training workshop titled “E-Learning Methodology for Capacity Building in Research Centers.” The worksho​​​p hosted a delegation f​rom the Syrian Atomic Energy Commission and was organized in cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and the Jordan Atomic Energy Commission. The program was conducted over a period of three weeks.

The workshop aimed to enhance participants’ capacities in designing and implementing e-learning programs, while fostering knowledge exchange between the Electronic Learning Center and the Syrian Atomic Energy Commission. The initiative sought to strengthen technical and pedagogical competencies in digital education and support institutional capacity-building efforts.

The program featured hands-on activities and interactive lectures delivered by the Center’s staff in the fields of e-learning, open educational resources, and quality assurance. Participants were provided with practical opportunities to develop digital learning projects that support research, development, and quality management systems.

In this context, Vice President of the University, Prof. Mona Abu-Dalo, expressed the University’s pride in hosting this distinguished program, describing it as a successful model of collaboration between higher education institutions and Arab research centers. She emphasized its role in advancing the capabilities of scientific professionals in e-learning and institutional development, while reaffirming the University’s commitment to fostering innovation and adopting international best practices in digital education.

For his part, Director of the Electronic Learning and Open Educational Resources Center, Dr. Hossam Al-Qublan, highlighted the significance of the fruitful collaboration behind the implementation of the program. He noted the Center’s dedication to sharing knowledge and practical expertise in the design and delivery of e-learning initiatives. He further stressed that such programs contribute to strengthening the integration of technology in education and scientific research, while empowering partner institutions to develop innovative learning solutions that align with the ongoing digital transformation in higher education.

At the conclusion of the workshop, Prof. Abu-Dalo presented commemorative shields to the participants in recognition of their active engagement and outstanding contributions throughout the program.
