Two teams from the Center's innovative groups won the Best Programming Award in the National Competition for Sumo Robots at Al-Hussein Technical University
Within the framework of the University / Center of Excellence's support for Innovative projects for Innovative students, a group of its distinguished students in the field of robots participated in the national competition for sumo robots, which was held at Al-Hussein Technical University on 27 and 28/5/2022 as part of the Kingdom's celebrations of the 76th Independence Day, with the participation of about 95 teams from several Jordanian universities.
As a result of this participation, two teams from the innovative groups of the Center of Excellence for Innovative Projects won. They are the Hail The Potato team, which won first place for the Best Programming Award, consisting of students (Ahmed Suleiman, Munther Abu Zeina, Lima Hamad).
While the Bulldozer team won the second place for the best programming, consisting of students: Wathiq Al-Omari and Ahmed Al-Zarini.
The center will honor the students participating in this competition and support them to ensure that they develop their skills to the best level.
It is worth mentioning that the center had established innovative groups to include distinguished students in several fields such as robotics, drones, programming, artificial intelligence, and others. This is in order to provide the appropriate environment for the Innovative and distinguished students of the university. These groups are supervised by Professor Samer Suleiman from the Training Division at the center.
