The Innovative Committee at the Center of Excellence for Innovative Projects at the Jordan University of Science and Technology held its regular meeting on Sunday 9 August 2026. The meeting was chaired by the Centre's Director, Dr. Ahmad Bani Younes, with the participation of the Director of the Project Services Department, Engineer Mustafa Al-Saleh, and attended by committee members comprising a select group of experts and specialists from within and outside the university, namely: Associate Director of the Centre for Water Diplomacy, Professor Ammar Al-Balasma; Head of the Department of Technological Pharmacy at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Dr. Nasiba Al-Namrawi; and Director of the Business Incubator at the College of Advanced Vocational Training (CAVT), Engineer Huda Obeidat.

The meeting discussed a number of topics related to the innovativity and innovation ecosystem, explored ways to develop innovative projects and enhance opportunities for their growth and sustainability, and involved an exchange of experiences and insights on best practices designed to elevate entrepreneurial projects and transform innovative ideas into solutions and projects with tangible economic and social impact. Dr. Ahmad Bani Younes emphasized the importance of the role played by the Innovative Committee in supporting those with innovative ideas and high-quality projects, and in strengthening integration between the university and various sectors, thereby contributing to the provision of an integrated system to empower creators and innovators and open up new horizons for their projects.

​The meeting forms part of the Center of Excellence for Innovative Projects' ongoing approach to supporting the innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem and fostering an environment that encourages innovativity, thereby enhancing the sustainability of promising projects, and to support the transformation of knowledge and ideas into innovative applications and projects that contribute to building a knowledge-based economy founded on innovation and technology, whilst enhancing the competitiveness of young people and innovators at both local and international levels.
