The Jordan University of Science and Technology, represented by the Center of Excellence for Innovative Projects, has signed a cooperation agreement with Dot Jordan as part of the 'Digital Skills for a Better Future' programme, which it implements with support from UNICEF. The aim is to enhance opportunities for Jordanian youth to acquire digital and technical skills and prepare them for the labour market through specialised training programmes that contribute to building their capacities and empowering them economically.

The agreement was signed on behalf of the University by Prof. Mona Abu Dalo, whilst the organisation's Executive Director in Jordan, Hamza Al-Shuraida, signed on its behalf, in the presence of a number of stakeholders from both sides.

The agreement aims to unite the efforts of both parties to implement high-quality training programmes targeting the university's students, graduates and members of the local community, thereby contributing to the development of their digital and professional skills, enhancing their readiness to enter the labour market and keeping pace with the demands of the digital economy.

Under the agreement, the Center of Excellence for Innovative Projects will recruit the targeted participants and oversee the delivery of training programmes on the university's premises, whilst Dot Jordan will be responsible for designing and delivering specialised training programmes, providing trainers, experts and the necessary educational materials, as well as issuing participation certificates to beneficiaries in accordance with approved standards, as part of the digital skills programme supported by UNICEF

Both parties emphasised that this partnership is in line with their shared vision of empowering young people and expanding their opportunities in education, training and employment by equipping them with the future-ready skills required in the fields of technology, digital transformation and entrepreneurship.
