On Sunday, May 3, 2026, the Stars of Entrepreneurship Initiative concluded at Jumana Comprehensive Secondary School for Girls. The initiative was organized by the Center of Excellence for Innovative Projects at the Jordan University of Science and Technology in collaboration with the Directorate of Education for the Ramtha Governorate, The event featured a final presentation by participating students before a judging panel comprising distinguished academics and experts, including: His Excellency Dr. Faisal Al-Hawamdeh, Director of the Ramtha Governorate Directorate of Education, Dr. Ahmad Bani Younes, Director of the Center of Excellence for Innovative Projects and a specialist in aerospace engineering and control systems; Engineer Omar Ababneh, an expert in project management, development, and business incubator leadership; and Mr. Arafat Abu Khalil, an expert in community work, youth empowerment, and initiative development.
During the initiative's implementation period, 10 training sessions totaling 25 training hours were conducted, targeting 41 students from various schools in the Ramtha District Education Directorate. These activities took place over the course of a month, from March 26, 2026, to April 27, 2026. Thirteen trainers participated in delivering these courses, including a select group of outstanding students from the university, alongside the program designer and initiative coordinator, teacher Sari Al-Saqar from Jumana Comprehensive Secondary School for Girls, and engineer Nidaa Al-Ruba'i, head of the Training Division at the center.
In his remarks, Dr. Ahmad Bani Younes, Director of the Center of Excellence for Innovative Projects, emphasized that this initiative serves as a genuine platform for discovering young talent and honing their skills in entrepreneurship and innovation, noting that the Center supports such initiatives to empower young people to transform entrepreneurial ideas into viable projects, and commending the efforts of the judging panel and supporters in making this event a success.
The closing day also featured presentations by 10 teams of participants showcasing entrepreneurial projects and ideas they had developed during the initiative, with the presentations reflecting an outstanding level of creativity and presentation skills, as well as critical thinking and teamwork abilities. The judging panel evaluated the projects based on criteria including innovation, feasibility, presentation quality, and the participants' personal skills, while praising the quality of the ideas presented and the spirit of competition among them.
