The Innovation Committee at the Center of Excellence for Innovative Projects Holds Its Regular Meeting
The Innovation Committee at the Center of Excellence for Innovative Projects held its regular meeting on Thursday, 18/12/2025, chaired by Professor Dr. Mona Abu Dalo, Vice President of the University and Acting Director of the Center, and attended by committee members who represent a distinguished group of experts and specialists from inside and outside the university. Attendees included: Deputy Director of the Water Diplomacy Center, Professor Dr. Ammar Al-Balasmeh; Head of the Department of Pharmaceutical Technology at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Dr. Nasbia Al-Namrawi; Director of the Center for Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Business Incubation at Amman Arab University, Dr. Samer Abbasrah; Director of the Business Incubator at the College of Advanced Vocational Training (CAVT), Engineer Huda Obeidat; Director of Receptors and Ligands Management for the Middle East and North Africa at Hikma Pharmaceuticals, Engineer Tasneem Sandooqeh; and the Supervisor of the Youth Corner for the Northern Region at the Ministry of Youth, Engineer Mohammad Al-Othman.
The committee discussed a comprehensive agenda that included strategic themes addressing the future of innovation and technological investment. The meeting focused on key topics, most notably the discussion of signing an investment contract with Limonene Company, which specializes in water treatment technology. In addition, the committee reviewed the status of several promising projects and discussed proposals to establish cooperation agreements with leading companies in the fields of education and management, aiming to strengthen partnerships between the public and private sectors. A significant portion of the meeting was also dedicated to the serious discussion of patent applications submitted by outstanding inventors. In another vital topic, the committee examined the fate of a number of innovative projects incubated at the center, which require decisive decisions regarding their extension or termination.
This meeting comes as part of the Innovation Committee's ongoing efforts to support and accelerate innovation, make sound decisions that enhance the sustainability of pioneering projects, and provide a supportive environment for inventors, thereby contributing to the development of a knowledge-based economy driven by innovation and technological creativity.
