The Innovative Committee at the Center of Excellence for Innovative Projects holds its regular meeting
The Innovative Committee at the Center of Excellence for Innovative Projects held its regular meeting today, Thursday, October 16, 2025, at the Center, chaired by Prof. Mona Abu Dalo, Vice President of the University and Acting Director of the Center, and attended by the members of the committee, who are a select group of experts and specialists from within and outside the University:
Deputy Director of the Water Diplomacy Center, Prof. Ammar Al-Blasma, Head of the Department of Pharmaceutical Technology at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Dr. Nasbia Al-Nimrawi, Director of the Center for Creativity, Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Amman Arab University, Dr. Samer Abbassira, Engineer Tasnim Sandouqa, Director of Marketing and Sales for the Middle East and North Africa at Hikma Pharmaceuticals; Engineer Mohammad Al-Othman, Supervisor of the Youth Corner for the Northern Region at the Ministry of Youth; and Engineer Huda Obeidat, Director of Operations at Jordan Start.
During the meeting, a diverse portfolio of innovative projects was discussed and strategic decisions were made to support innovation and entrepreneurship. The focus was on key areas aimed at promoting leadership and innovation, with a review of incubation requests submitted to the technology incubator, including promising projects that demonstrate a high degree of creativity and a focus on future solutions. The committee also discussed two patent registration requests. As part of its ongoing monitoring of the performance of incubated projects, the committee reviewed the status of a number of existing projects in terms of extending or terminating incubation for some of them. The meeting also included a discussion on promoting business acceleration by considering the addition of two new companies, as well as reviewing a project that represents a qualitative addition to the acceleration projects.
This meeting is the culmination of the Innovation Committee's ongoing efforts to nurture promising talent and empower creative ideas, in pursuit of the university and center's vision of building a competitive knowledge economy based on innovation.
