The Center of Excellence for Innovative Projects Organizes a Specialized Ethical Hacking Workshop
On Sunday, April 27, 2025, the Center of Excellence for Innovative Projects organized a specialized workshop on ethical hacking. The workshop targeted students from the College of Computer and Information Technology who seek to develop their skills in this vital field. The goal was to guide them toward the right path in the world of cybersecurity and enable them to identify threats targeting personal devices. The workshop covered several key topics, including the concepts of penetration testing, its importance in enhancing system security, and the most prominent methods used in this field. It also included an introduction to the types of viruses and unsafe software and how to deal with them. It also included a practical session simulating a cyberattack to enhance practical understanding of protection mechanisms.
The workshop was presented by Yassin Al-Rawashdeh, a student from the College of Computer and Information Technology, specializing in cybersecurity.
