On Sunday, October 20, 2024, the Center of Excellence for Innovative Projects organized a workshop entitled (Environmental Awareness, Solving Environmental Problems in a Sustainable Way), in cooperation with the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) and the Jordanian Ministry of Environment. It is the first workshop of the green skills training program that will be presented over the course of The next two years, the program aims to boost the employment of job seekers in green sectors, and is part of an agency-funded project (KOICA) entitled (Creating sustainable green jobs for refugees and host communities through the green economy in Jordan), and future training will also cover topics such as climate-smart agriculture, installing and maintaining photovoltaic solar panels, and charging electric vehicles.
The workshop targeted university students from different years and specializations, especially females. The environmental challenges in Jordan were presented, in addition to the transition to the green approach, how to implement green solutions, and opportunities for green practices. This interactive workshop enables individuals to contribute to a more sustainable future in their communities and workplaces by Participate in various discussions with practical examples and various studies.
It is worth noting that GGGI is a treaty-based intergovernmental organization dedicated to supporting and promoting strong, comprehensive and sustainable economic growth in developing countries and emerging economies through studies, research and projects related to climate change.
