Prof. Muhannad Quwaider, Director of the Center of Excellence for Innovative Projects, participated in the activities of the first meeting of the directors of innovation and entrepreneurship centers, which was organized by the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the University of Jordan/Amman, in the presence of representatives of the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, and representatives of the Business Incubators Sector at the Ministry, where success stories were presented, represented by patents of students and faculty members, which business incubators in innovation centers at universities contributed to their success and national and international fame. Ways to find new financing channels to support projects were also discussed by opening communication channels with companies in the public and private sectors, in addition to facilitating the registration of start-up companies.

The participants in the meeting also stressed the need to develop the infrastructure of innovation and entrepreneurship centers and organize the work of business incubators and accelerators by setting instructions to organize the process between universities, students and contributing sectors in a way that guarantees the rights of all parties. The participants presented several recommendations to the Ministry of Entrepreneurship and Digital Economy and university administrations regarding supporting business accelerators and start-up companies by enacting laws that regulate the work of these companies, and allocating a portion of their profits that were previously supported by incubators in universities to support entrepreneurship projects in a way that ensures the continuity and sustainability of their work.
