Signing a memorandum of understanding between the university and Spectrum Company for project management and development
On Tuesday, 7/16/2024, Jordan University of Science and Technology and “ECOVIS", signed a memorandum of understanding with the aim of qualifying students and graduates and enabling them to possess the necessary knowledge and skills to engage in the labor market. The memorandum that was signed by the university aims to Vice President, Professor Muna Abu Dalo, in the presence of the Director of the Center of Excellence for Innovative Projects, Professor Muhannad Quwaider, and on behalf of the company, Mr. Fathi Khairy Saleh, to enhance cooperation between the two sides by providing the necessary training to address the gaps between the outcomes of academic education and the requirements of the labor market.
The memorandum also stipulated the provision of academic and vocational guidance services in line with the needs of the labor market, and the conduct of joint survey studies to identify the professions and skills required in the local, regional and international labor market, and to bridge the gap between the outcomes of academic education and the requirements of the labor market by providing training, scientific and vocational materials on education platforms. Remotely owned by the company, which enhances and accelerates the opportunities for graduates to obtain jobs that suit their specializations.
For her part, Professor Dr. Abu Dalu confirmed that this cooperation comes in fulfillment of the university's vision and mission of spreading education and knowledge industry and creating a stimulating environment for excellence, creativity and innovation through effective local partnerships by refining and developing students' skills in various fields, and increasing their contributions to the local product. It is also considered a valuable opportunity. For students to develop their practical skills and expand their knowledge so that they can efficiently enter the labor market.
According to the terms of the memorandum, job opportunities will be marketed to Jordanian youth through training and employment platforms, which will be linked to regional and international platforms, which will contribute to developing employment rates and reducing unemployment, exchanging information about projects, initiatives and grants for vocational and technical training in Jordan, and disseminating it to university graduates and students with the aim of Benefiting from it, in addition to exchanging experiences in the field of training, preparing curricula, programs and scientific content.
