Performance Improvement Action Plan (PIAP) Co-design Workshop within Higher Education for Innovation and Growth (HEIG) project
A Performance Improvement Action Plan (PIAP) Co-design Workshop within Higher Education for Innovation and Growth (HEIG) project was conducted in the Center of Excellence for Innovative Projects on Monday May 27th. The workshop was presented by HEIG team from IREX and Virginia Technical University. The workshop discussed our university priorities and can engage in a discussion to direct the identification and prioritization of the development areas we will work on through the provision of technical and material assistance that they will do.
It is good to know that, Jordan University for Science and Technology has been selected as a core Higher Education Institution (HEI) partner for the first cycle focusing on the Sustainable Agri-Food Security Sector in HEIG project. This selection comes following a rigorous review process and is based on the university institution's demonstrated strengths and alignment with the goals and objectives of the HEIG Program in the identified sector.
Prior to this workshop and in the beginning of this month, several focused workshops were conducted in the center by IREX team and including several university departments and units in order to collect and allocate the necessary human resources and needs. Then, the HEIG team run the HEIG program activities by implementing the Higher Education Institution Capacity Assessment Tool (HEICAT).
In this workshop, the HEIG team developed the Performance Improvement Action Plan (PIAP), coordinating the technical and material assistance that will be provided by the Program, and implementation of the agreed changes and performance improvement interventions at the university.
