A training workshop on 3D printers was held at the Center of Excellence for Innovative Projects at the Jordan University of Science and Technology, organized by the IEEE Women in Engineering Association. The workshop targeted at least 20 male and female students from various industrial, aviation and electrical specializations in the College of Engineering. The workshop was opened by the Center's Director, Professor Muhannad Quwaider, who welcomed the participants and provided them with a summary of the services provided at the Center within three axes, which included patents and intellectual property rights, the technological incubator and training. A brief explanation was also given of the technical, technical and financial support provided to transform the idea into a start-up company. On the ground, the workshop covered an introduction to 3D printing and highlighted a group of printers available at the center.
The workshop was presented by Engineer Nedaa Al-Rabai, head of the training division at the center, who specializes in this field. She discussed the basics of 3D printing technology and presented the capabilities of the printers available at the center after providing a comprehensive explanation about them. At the end of the workshop, a tour was taken of the center's facilities, to learn more about what printers work. Available in the technological incubator on the ground. Previous projects carried out by students using 3D printers were also presented, inspiring attendees with practical examples of the capabilities of technology. In general, the workshop was very useful and influenced the stimulation of innovation among the participants.
