Under the patronages of His Excellency Prof. Ahmed Al-Ajlouni, Vice President of the Jordan University of Science and Technology, on behalf of Prof. Khalid El-Salem, President of the University, the sponsor of the ceremony, the closing ceremony of the activities of the Fourth Summer Club 2023 was held on Wednesday, 8/16/2023, which was held for the children of the university's faculty and administrative staff. It is an extension of previous summer camps in which hundreds of students, children of workers, participated in various courses. The summer club aims to sow and refine the seed of creativity and leadership in children from an early age.
At the beginning of the ceremony, Eng. Nidaa Al-Rubai, Head of the Training Division at the Center, presented a visual summary of the Center, its achievements, and the services provided. Prof. Muhannad Quwaider, Director of the Center of Excellence for Innovative Projects, welcomed the attendees, and also gave a summary of the Center, its facilities, and the services provided in it to provide the appropriate technical environment to support and care for creators. From the university and the local community alike, starting from the idea and going through the prototype of the product or service and ending with the establishment of small businesses and launching them commercially, in addition to sponsoring and supporting pioneering and creative initiatives that benefit the university or the local community, and contribute to solving economic, social, academic or health problems.
Certificates were distributed to the students from the children of faculty and administrative staff working at the university and participants in training courses, in addition to honoring students who volunteered to give these courses by Prof. Ahmed Al-Ajlouni, Vice President of the University, in the presence of Prof. Muhannad Quwaider, Director of the Center and Mr. Wael Talilan, Director of the Administrative Services Department in the center.
It is worth noting that the number of student participants in the fourth summer club of this year has reached 153 male and female students from different age groups from six to sixteen years old. Over the course of five weeks, they participated in the following courses:
1. Hand drawing.
2. Speaking and speaking to the public.
3. Robotics.
4. The six simple machines and how to use them in our daily lives.
5. Airplane 3D modeling.
6. Photoshop.
7. Designing PowerPoint slides and flyers.
8. Drawing using lead and acrylic colors.
