On Wednesday June 7, Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST) and the Jordan Enterprise Development Corporation (JEDCO), signed a memorandum of understanding to enhance cooperation in developing joint programs through the Center of Excellence for Innovative Projects at the university, within the framework of the university's efforts to achieve sustainable development by providing the technical environment Appropriate and supportive of creativity in various industrial and service fields, and increasing its contribution to the gross domestic product.
The memorandum of understanding, which was signed on behalf of the university by the Vice President, Prof. Ahmed Al-Ajlouni, in the presence of the Director of the Center of Excellence for Innovative Projects, Prof. Muhannad Quwaider, and on behalf of the Foundation, the Assistant Executive Director, Mr. Mutie Ghuneimat. The agreement aims to introduce the programs of the Jordan Foundation for the development of economic projects for the targeted groups and to provide the necessary facilities for the university to access financing for projects. Al-Ajlouni stressed the keenness of the Jordan University of Science and Technology to encourage entrepreneurship, and to enable community members to establish and manage entrepreneurial projects, in addition to building and supporting the capabilities of entrepreneurs through specialized educational and training programs.
In turn, Ghunaimat pointed out that the Jordanian Corporation for the Development of Economic Enterprises, as a governmental institution concerned with the development of emerging, small and medium economic projects in the Kingdom, aims to develop productive economic projects within the industrial, service and agricultural industries in the Kingdom through sponsorship and technical and financial support according to the available resources to enable them to compete and develop. growth locally and globally
According to the terms of the memorandum, the foundation's programs will be circulated to the target groups at the university, introductory workshops for the foundation's programs will be organized with the target groups at the university, and those groups will be invited to attend the introductory workshops, and help them fill out applications for the foundation's programs.
