Participation in a workshop on enablers and barriers to innovation in the food industry sector
Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST) participated in a workshop organized by the Jordan Enterprise Development Corporation (JEDCO) titled “Enablers and Barriers to Innovation in the Food Industry Sector." The workshop was attended by a distinguished group of experts, specialists, and representatives of national and international institutions.
The university was represented at the workshop by the Center of Excellence for Innovative Projects through its Deputy Director, Professor Wafa'a Ta'an, along with Professor Taha Rababa'ah from the Faculty of Agriculture. This participation reflects the Center's pivotal role in supporting the innovation ecosystem, promoting entrepreneurship, and strengthening applied research linked to vital productive sectors—particularly the food industry.
Professor Ta'an emphasized the Center's commitment to building effective partnerships with leading national institutions, most notably JEDCO, the Amman Chamber of Industry, and the Jordanian Society for Scientific Research, Entrepreneurship, and Creativity. These partnerships aim to foster an enabling environment for innovation and to transform creative ideas into projects with sustainable economic and developmental impact.
This participation aligns with the vision of Jordan University of Science and Technology to strengthen its role as an academic institution that supports national economic development by empowering innovation, supporting creative projects, and linking academic knowledge with market needs and various productive sectors.
