The Center of Excellence for Innovative Projects organizes an introductory lecture on the Robofight competition
As part of the Center of Excellence for Innovative Projects' strategy to encourage entrepreneurship and creativity and provide opportunities to develop students' creative skills, and in collaboration with the Manara Technical Laboratory, which specializes in manufacturing electronic devices and engineering systems, and TechBots, which holds training workshops and equips robotics and drone laboratories, an introductory lecture was held for the Robofight competition at the Jordan University of Science and Technology on Tuesday, March 18, 2025. The lecture targets university students from various engineering and technical disciplines. It is the first robot fighting competition in Jordan and the Arab world, aiming to promote innovation and technology in the field of robotics among university students. It provides them with a unique opportunity to apply their skills in design, manufacturing, programming, and mechanical engineering. It also contributes to preparing them for the job market through a unique practical experience.
The lecture was delivered by Eng. Ahmed Zarara, in the presence of the Director of the Center of Excellence for Innovative Projects, Prof. Muhannad Quwaider, who welcomed the students and encouraged them to participate in the competition and take advantage of this opportunity to help them achieve broader accomplishments. Eng. Zarara also gave a detailed explanation of the competition themes, stages, application and registration procedures, in addition to the competition rules and safety guidelines. At the end of the lecture, the students' various inquiries were answered through a discussion panel that covered all aspects of the competition.
